Masdar City: “the most ambitious sustainable development in the world today”
A recent gander at the Pop!Tech Blog led me to a conceptually and aesthetically pleasing sample of future city designs. The United Arab Emirates’ Masdar Initiative will give rise to a future green city in Abu Dhabi, Masdar City. The design of Masdar City is a bold attempt at attaining sustainability and is planned to be the first carbon neutral zero waste city in the world. If the city planners and architects of Masdar City have the same standards as the Flash designers of the Masdar Energy Company’s website, then this project should be amazing when it’s done.
